Well, my book, The Making of a Plastic Surgeon- Two Years in the Crucible learning the Art and Science, was successfully published this morning in both eBook and paperback versions. Unfortunately, Amazon put the incorrect price on the paperback and listed the price as $22.44 instead of the $11.99 price that I requested. No clue how this happened and the Amazon agent I spoke with- an actual human being, amazingly- told me the glitch would be corrected within 24 hours.
I have tried to inform everyone to whom I announced the book publication not to order a paperback until the price is fixed. The eBook is fine and the price of $9.99 is correct. No matter how hard I try, it seems something always goes wrong when trying new things on the internet. I feel like Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park who seems to mess up anything electronic he touches. That darn learning curve! In this case I know it wasn’t my fault because I double-checked the price I sent to Amazon. Kind of takes some of the fun, although not all, out of the launch, but the book will still be good and, if I may say so, would be worth the higher price, but that’s just me.
I will send out a new announcement when this is worked out. Hopefully by tomorrow morning.

Just ordered a copy, thank you.
Thank you for the update. I have not bought my copy yet but I’m wondering if Amazon will credit the difference to people who already purchased. As Rick said above I would have too been happy to purchase for $22 but the lower price helps to reach more people.
